From what I read, as long as people get vaccinated, the variants won't really have a chance to spread. The thing is, the current vaccines are still effective against the variants. Vaccine rollout is going to only increase in the next couple of months because Biden is going to go heavy with it (utilizing the National Guard to set up FEMA camps in many locations throughout the US). He has ordered more vaccines, and the J&J vaccine is going to get approved in the next week or two.

As for any variants in the future that may may current vaccines ineffective? They'll come out with new vaccines or booster shots to stop those as well.

If things stay on track, Americans can start to relax in the middle of summer, since vaccines will be available for anyone who wants one by then. Then by autumn, we will start to see the first degree of normalcy. By the beginning of 2022, we should be pretty back to normal.

The Covid virus is here to stay, but it won't be much of a problem after this year. It'll just be something we'll have to get booster shots for every so often.

If it's dying off on its own (without vaccines), this wouldn't surprise me. Even top scientists can't figure it out but history has shown that all pandemics just die out in a year even without a vaccine. Bubonic plague, influenza, Spanish flu, Ebola... They all disappeared after a year, as history has shown. Just Google it and see for yourself if you don't believe me. Nobody knows why. Top epidemiologists are baffled by it too. It's like it's programmed to flame out in a year.

Whether it's because of vaccines or not, I'm just glad the finish line is in sight. As for the variants? Don't worry about those. The media makes every variant seem like it's the end of the world, but the reality is that all viruses mutate, and the current vaccines are still very effective against them.

The time before the pandemic hit seems like another lifetime to me at this point.

2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015 may have been bad years but I would do anything to return to these years. To be able to go out and have fun and do whatever and not have to worry about a virus is something I wish I hadn't taken for granted.

When I go out, not only do I wear a mask, I also wear sunglasses that cover the sides of my eyes so that it minimizes the risk of someone who is infected's coughs/sneezes entering my eyes and nose. Also when I'm out, I never take off my mask, not even in the car. I don't eat in the car and I always wait till I get home to eat (after I dump all of the food onto clean paper plates).

When I get home, I immediately put my clothes in the washer and take a shower. I then sanitize all the objects in my pocket (phone, keys, wallet). Then, I will sanitize all objects I brought home whether it's groceries or whatever using antibacterial wipes. Also, whenever I have to walk outside to get the mail, for instance, I will wash my hands right after coming in. And about the mail? I will sanitize those as well with wipes.

I also work at home and I haven't gone out to hang out with friends since the pandemic began, and I only go out to buy essentials.

Most gun owners are responsible, and said gun owners hope to never have to actually use their guns, and same said gun owners would never be happy about killing anybody. They do whatever they have to do have to protect their loved ones or even strangers. The shooter in this story? I'm willing to bet that he wasn't happy about killing the robber. I'm someone who treats this virus seriously. I work from home, I stay in as much as I can, and I only go out for essentials. And when I do go out, I wear both a facial mask and a face shield at the same time. I never touch my face while I'm out, and when I get home disinfect all objects (like groceries and whatnot) that I bring inside the house, then I throw my clothes in the washer, and I take a shower. Since I live in Florida, a huge Covid-19 hotspot, I can't afford to NOT take it seriously.

But I also wonder, is OK for someone like me to wonder if the stats that have been reported across each state for Covid-19 cases and deaths are really truly accurate? I'm not saying that I think that the government and the hospitals are all in on some conspiracy and have fudged the numbers for their own benefit. I don't think that's the case. But maybe they accidentally fudged the numbers accidentally in some way, or something like that?

Again, I'm going to continue treating this pandemic completely seriously.
